A 62 years old female patient presented with this lesion on the right thigh since 3 years .

diagnosis

diagnosis

necrobiosis lipodica in a diabetic patient. the lesionis slowly growing, reddish brown in color with central yellowish atrophiccenter .Typically, it occurs on the chin of the tibia of diabetic patient, in an irregular pattern, however a well-defined annular presentation on the thighs or upper limbs has also been reported as presented in our patient.

Topical steroids, usually under a plastic occlusive dressing

Intralesional steroid injections or steroid tablets

Aspirin and dipyridamole combination

Oxypentifylline tablets

Niacinamide

Oral ciclosporin

Biologic agents

Photochemotherapy (PUVA)

Photodynamic therapy

Fumaric acid esters
